Antifa Threatens Liberty -- Fight Back

Libertarians might be interested in this petition to the White House, which says:

President Trump,

In 2017 alone, Antifa is responsible for violent riots at Berkeley University in response to conservative speakers Milo Yiannopoulos and Ann Coulter hosting campus events, shutting down the Portland Rose Parade with threats of violence, inciting others to violence, acts and threats of vandalism and committing violence themselves against conservatives on campus and across the nation, widespread organized barbarism against the police and patriotic civilians alike, including small businesses and public infrastructure. They harm, stalk, and harass individuals of differing opinions on a day-to-day basis. They are a threat to our first amendment rights. We urge you to address this threat and acknowledge Antifa organizations for what they are; domestic terrorist organizations.

If you agree, you can sign the petition over here.

Dallas E. Legan II, RIP

We are very sad to report that our friend, KHC member Dallas E. Legan II, passed away on January 29, 2017, at County USC Medical Center, of cancer.

Dallas served our club as Senior Associate Facilitator and Director of Distribution, responsible for managing the mailing list and for other duties. He will be sorely missed.

Plans for a memorial service later this year are pending. We will keep all apprised of the memorial arrangement.

If anyone knows anything about Dallas's next of kin, please contact Mike Everling or Jay Jones.

Richard Kyle, RIP

We learned only recently of the passing of Richard Kyle, on December 10, 2016, after a long illness.
Richard was a bookseller (owner of Richard Kyle Books in Long Beach, CA), a writer and publisher, and a friend to the Founders and many members of the KHC. He is missed.
The Beat reports that Richard is credited with inventing the term "graphic novel."
More information about Richard at Mark Evanier's website.
Brad Linaweaver will deliver a memorial for Richard, and for actor Richard Hatch, at the KHC's the April 2017 meeting.

Vote No on Measure H -- on March 7, 2017

Don't forget to vote No on Measure H in the March 7th special election.

Measure H would raise the Los Angeles County sale tax by 1/4 percent, allegedly to fund homeless services. But as every libertarian knows, all "dedicated" revenue ends up in the general revenue, to then be wasted by politicians.

No on Measure H is a no-brainer. Don't forget to vote!
